The world is full of stuff and more products are being made every minute! My mission is to reduce my footprint on the Earth through wiser purchasing choices and responsible stewardship of items already in my possession.

The scope of my interest is vast and too much for just one person to take on alone. I plan to go into all sorts of fixes in the future, but to start somewhere I will briefly discuss textiles.

Unlike the stereotypical American woman, I don’t particularly care about fashion and I do not enjoy shopping for clothing. When I finally find a nice-fitting pair of jeans or the perfect shoes, I don’t want to let them go because of a small defect. I know I’m not the only person who had a pair of pants first give out on the inner thigh and tackling that issue is where my whole mending adventure started.
